Lyricist, Writer, and Poet, “Spoken Word” is Not an Amateur When it Comes to Hip Hop Music... When I write for an audience, I overlook the true passion that drives me to write. I ignore what’s logical in my moral right to appease the listener. As an end result, the totality of the audience is not enlightened, uplifted or educated. Instead, they walk away entertained. It is my belief that my ability to write is a gift from God. It is a gift I’ve always had, but never sought to use wisely. As entertaining as writing can be, through performance those same writings can become stereotypical, and lacking a true sense of self worth. Instead, I write from the tablets of my heart and soul giving the listener something to carry with them for the rest of their lives. Spoken Word
